Career
Club career Zizo played within First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ahly youth ranks since the age of 15. He spent ten years with First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ahly, scoring over 100 goals for the club through all ranks. He was dubbed one of the most talented football players in the history of Egyptian football, but had to retire at the age of 27 due to a serious injury.
International career Zizo played about 32 matches with his national side Egypt.
He is one of very few Egyptian football players to make his Egypt debut at the age of 17. He scored on his debut against German Democratic Republic in a friendly match in 1969.
Egypt After he retired in 1982, Zizo was immediately appointed football director for First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ahly, winning the CAF Champions League in 1982. He worked as an assistant manager to Mahmoud El-Gohary for the Egypt first team in the early 1990s.
Zizo also coached the Egypt Olympic team in 1999.
He managed several Egyptian clubs including First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ittihad First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Sakndary, First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Masry, Baladeyet First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Mahalla, First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Mokawloon First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Arab and Asmant Suez. Zizo led Baladeyet First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Mahalla to the final of Egyptian Cup in 2002 for the first and only time in the club"s history. He had three different spells as First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ahly interim coach, as he guided the club to the 2015 Egyptian Super Cup which was staged in the United Arab Emirates for the first time.
Saudi Arabia In Saudi Arabia, Zizo worked with First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ahli Jeddah between 1986 and 1987.
