He has been Chairman of the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (a national news agency of Bangladesh), Member of the Bangladesh Press Institute, Chairman of the Department Mass Communication & Journalism and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Dhaka.
