His highest score was 101 in 1934-1935 in Northern India"s first match in the Ranji Trophy, when he added 304 for the second wicket with George Abell. Between 1931-1932 and 1960-1961 he played 14 times in the annual match between Punjab University and Punjab Governor"s XI, at first for the university, and later for the Governor"s XI, which he captained in his last first-class match when he was 50.
