He previously played for both Leo Victor and Robinhood. Maasie began his career at SV Leo Victor in 2002 finishing as top scorer of the Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan Hoofdklasse in the 2002-2003 season with 18 goals. In 2004 he transferred to SV Robinhood scoring 20 goals in the 2005-2006 season.
He was subsequently transferred to Inter Moengotapoe, finishing his first season with 16 goals, one less than top scorer Ifenildo Vlijter.
His consecration with Inter Moengotapoe came two seasons later, finishing as top scorer twice in both 2009-2010 (13 goals) and in 2010-2011 (19 goals). Maasie never became international with the Suriname national football team although he played a match against Guatemala with the Olympic team in 2003.
