Career
Hailing from the north of England, Leach read English Literature at the University of Durham and trained on the Director"s Course at the Royal National Theatre. After graduating in 2002, she co-created the theatre company En Masse, which creates theatre for families and young people. With En Masse, Amy has directed and produced United Kingdom tours of Spaceship ’87, The Echo Chamber, The Ignatius Trail, The Shelter, The Iceberg and We All Fall Down, as well as directing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in co-production with the Dukes Theatre, Lancaster.
Leach works as a freelance director and is currently an Associate Artist of The Dukes in Lancaster, The Egg (Theatre) in Bath, Shakespeare Schools Festival and the National Youth Theatre.
In 2012, Leach"s production of Arabian Nights was nominated for Best Production, Best Design and Best Ensemble in the Manchester Theatre Awards (MTA), winning in the Best Ensemble category.
