Ergotelis
He started his career with the youth teams of Ergotelis, and signed his first professional contract with the club on 19 May 2011. He made his debut on 11 December 2011, in a game against Doxa Drama. Olympiacos
On 22 March 2013, he signed a four years" contract for Greek giants Olympiacos for an undisclosed fee and his former club will get €150.000.
After his signing it was decided to stay for a year in his former club Ergotelis.
The young ace football player added the final touch in the 78th minute, making the score 3-0, with a superb long-range bullet from 35–40 metres that soared past Michael Agazzi. The goal scored was ranked in the 4th place of the list with the top goals of the 2014 competition.
On the beginning of the 2015-2016 season, Bouchalakis tried his best to convince his coach Marco Silva to stay in the club
