According to IAFD, one of her first appearances was in Dirty Debutantes, Volume 37, with Editor Powers. In that video, she says she came up with the name Anna Malle on her own as a play on the word "animal" to describe her sexual style. Of those films, she has a directorial cr in five of them in addition to performing in them.

Videos based on archival footage are still being released after her death. She appeared in the groundbreaking, blockbuster hit Snoop Dogg"s Doggystyle, where she performed in a rough scene with Tony Eveready.
She was also a frequent performer in many films starring Nina Hartley during the mid to late 1990s. In an open letter that appeared on Malle"s website shortly after her death, Hartley reflected on her deceased friend and referred to Malle as her "perfect partner," a reference to the many scenes they"d performed together, both with each other and with other performers.
She also performed in more mainstream circles, including appearances on Home Box Office"s Real Sex 18 in 1997 and the Playboy Channel.
Malle retired from filmmaking in 2005. Malle was of Irish, German, and Cherokee ancestry. She described herself as bisexual.
Malle was killed in a car accident near Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 25, 2006.
