Career
Salnikova represented Georgia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in the women"s 100 m breaststroke. She swam in the first heat against Libya"s Asmahan Farhat and Mali"s Mariam Pauline Keita. Salnikova finished behind Farhat in second place by two hundredths of a second (002) in 1:21.70.
Salnikova failed to advance into the semifinals, as she placed forty-eighth overall in the preliminary heats.
