Some of her career highlights include second place in the 100m breaststroke at the 2010 Communist Party National Championships and fourth place in the 50m breast at the 2010 MOO Pan Pacific Championships. In college, Annie competed in National Collegiate Athletic Association Swimming. As a freshman in 2007, she placed 2nd in the 100yd breast and 14th in the 200yd breast.
Both her 200yd and 400yd medley relays came in 1st.
Sophomore year, her 200yd medley relay placed 1st and so did her 400yd medley relay. Individually, she came in 3rd in the 100yd breast and 8th in the 200yd breast.
Junior year, she placed 4th in the 100yd breast, 7th in the 200yd breast, and her 400yd medley placed 1st again. Her senior year in 2010, she placed 1st in the 100yd breast and 3rd in the 200yd breast.
Annie’s first Olympic Trials were in 2008, at which she placed 5th in the 100 breast and 17th in the 200 breast.
At her second Olympic Trials in 2012, she placed 5th in the 100 breast again and 19th in the 50 free. At the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in 2010, Annie placed 4th in the 50m breast. Later at the World University Games in 2011, she placed 1st in the 50m breast and 2nd in the 4x100m Medley Relay.
Annie competed in the United States Nationals in both 2007 and 2010.
In 2007, she came in 7th in the 100m breast and 11th in the 200m breast. Three years later, her 4x100m medley relay came in 1st place and her 4x100m freestyle relay came in 5th.
In individual events, she came in 2nd in the 100m breast.
