He is News-Anchor for the weekday edition of Columbia Broadcasting System This Morning and Company-Anchor of Columbia Broadcasting System This Morning Saturday alongside Vinita Nair. Mason has reported from more than 30 countries for Columbia Broadcasting System. He has been working in New York since 1993.
He contributed award-winning coverage of the 1991 Soviet coup attempt from Moscow.
The family reside in Westchester County, New New York Mason also has one daughter from a previous marriage to advice columnist Amy Dickinson (1986-1990).
