He played college football at Alabama. The Redskins selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was a four-star recruit by Rivals.com.
In February 2010, he committed to the University of Alabama to play college football.
Kouandjio was redshirted as a true freshman in 2010. As a redshirt freshman in 2011, he played in two games before a knee injury ended his season.
As a sophomore in 2012, Kouandjio played in 11 of 14 games as a backup. He became a starter for the first time as junior in 2013, starting all 13 games.
Kouandjio returned as a starter his senior year in 2014.
He started all 14 games and was named an All-American. Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins picked Kouandjio 112th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract on May 11, 2015.
Kouandjio"s younger brother, Cyrus, played at Alabama and currently plays in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills.
