Studied at musical college named after A. Shnitke (1990–1994). He studied choral and symphonic conduction at Moscow Conservatory (1997–2002).

As a group member he became a competition laureate Riva del Garda (Italy, 1997) and one international choral contest (Austria, 2000, first bonus)
He entered post graduate studies in Moscow Conservatory (2000). He became choirmaster of Academic Chorus guided by South. Strokin (1995). He became a musical leader of "Pifagor" studio (1997).
He filled a choirmaster position in cabare-theatre "Die Fledermaus" of George Gurvich (2000).
He was invited to a post of musical leader and conductor to the musical "The Witches of Eastwick", where his colleagues became compositor Janush Stoklosa and producer Janush Usefovich (2002). He became a musical leader and conductor of "School of Dramatic Art" theatre (2006).
He led the "Sofia" Russian private orchestra as an art leader and conductor (2010). Poghosyan also directed performances "Demon" ("Golden Mask" theatre bonus), "Bidding", "Cow", "Opus №7" ("Golden Mask" and "Crystal Turandot" theatre bonuses), "Tararabumbia" as a musical leader and conductor.
The plays went on tours with a great success in Finland, Hungary, Poland, France.
Poghosyan was a musical leader in "Balagan" performance by Doctorate. Krymov in 2008. В 2000–2008 became a music leader at the "Pythagoras" studios for the duplication of Russian language full-length musical films and cartoons such as Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Corpse Bride, Hannah Montana, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Little Mermaid, Shrek. Producer Alexander Ivaschenko invited Pogosian as a musical leader and a head conductor for arranging the play Ordinary Miracle in 2009.
In 2008 he organized youth group "Oliver Twist" — men"s quartet under support of a show-group "Doctor Watson".
The group successfully plays in Moscow and other cities of Russia. In 2010 Pogosian became a conductor of the private "Sofia" Symphony Orchestra.
Saving the genre"s laws, the session musitians radically "change the conception of popular classical music". The orchestra presents famous musical arias, rock-hits and never getting old melodies of global cinematograph.
"The Phantom of the Opera", "Mamma Mia!", "Chicago", "Notre-Dame de Paris", "Moulene Rooge", "Romeo and Juliet", "ZORRO", "We Will Rock You", "CATS", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Beauty and the Beast", "Carmina Burana are in the Sofia repertoty.
During the studies he was a member of Chamber Chorus of Moscow Conservatory guided by professor Boris Tevlin.
