Arthur "Ollie" Keegan was an English professional rugby league football player of the 1950s, "60s and "70s, and coach of the 1970s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Hull, Bramley, and Batley, as a fullback, id est (that is) number 1, and was captain of Hull during the 1965-1966, 1966-1967, 1967-1968, 1968-1969, 1969-1970, and 1970-1971 seasons, and coaching at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for Bramley, whilst serving in the Duke of Wellington"s Regiment.
Career
Keegan played at fullback, and scored five conversions in Hull"s 13-30 defeat by Wigan in the 1959 Challenge Cup final during the 1958-1959 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 9 May 1959. Keegan played fullback in Hull"s 7-8 defeat by Hull Kingston Rovers in the 1967 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1967-1968 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 14 October 1967. Keegan was the coach in Bramley"s 15-7 victory over Widnes in the 1973 BBC2 Floodlit Trophy final during the 1973-1974 season at Naughton Park, Widnes on Tuesday 18 December 1973.
