Arthur Bassett (28 June 1914 – 30 December 1999(1999-1912-30) (aged 85)) was a Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league football player of the 1930s and 1940s, playing representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Maesteg, Neath, Glamorgan Police Reconstruction Finance Corporation, Aberavon Reconstruction Finance Corporation, Cardiff, switching to professional football in 1939, playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, and Wales, and at club level for Halifax, and York, as a wing, id est (that is) number 2 or 5. International honours Arthur Bassett is a Halifax Hall of Fame Inductee.
