Career
Born at Sittingbourne, Kent, Gibson was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. Gibson made his debut in first-class cricket for Kent in 1883 against the Marylebone Cricket Club. Making three further first-class appearances in 1883, his fifth and final appearance came in 1884 against Sussex.
Gibson scored 35 runs in his five matches, averaging just 5.83, with a highest score of 17 not out.
He died at Whitehill, Kent on 8 December 1895.
