He played for Cambridge University and Gloucestershire from 1937 to 1946, re-appearing in a single first-class game for Marylebone Cricket Club in Canada in 1951. A son-in-law of H. South. Altham, he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and died in Winchester, Hampshire. Brodhurst appeared in 20 first-class matches as a right-handed batsman who bowled right arm off break.
