Quotes from others about the person
H. J. Dutton: "He lives in his cottage in the Vale of Belvoir and paints happily and sincerely his personal impression of the things about him, which he loves. It is this perception of beauty in homeliness, this gift for discovering romance upon the doorstep and poetry in the ordinary scenes of rural life, that is one of Mr. Lowe's greatest characteristics. He does not run to the ends of the earth for his subjects; he saunters along the banks of the canal or across the fields of Kinoulton and finds high beauty there."
Arthur Lowe was married to Mary.
