In 1929 Aurelie Nemours enrolled at the Ecole du Louvre to study the Egyptian and Byzantine art for three years. From 1937 to 1940, she was a student of the Paul Colin studio Publicity and Applied Arts, workshop mainly devoted to drawing, poster and theatrical decor. Then in 1941, she returned to the André Lhote Academy until 1945.
In 1945 Aurélie Nemours became writing poems and published in 1950. She continued this activity in parallel with her painting job.
In 1949 she enrolled at the opened Atelier Fernand Léger. She began painting in 1949 and quickly participated in groups exhibitions. Immediately, her painting was non-figurative. Her first solo exhibition was held at the Gallery Colette Allendy (1953) on this occasion, Aurelie became friends with Michael Seuphor.
Nemours took part for a time to events of the group "Space" founded in 1951 by Félix Del Marle and the group "Mesure". These two groups were an offshoot of the "New Realities".
Nemours was exhibited in the Parisian Salons (New Realities, Comparisons, Sacred Art Show, Salon of Automn, Salon of Today Elder and Younger). She also participated actively in international trade fairs. Over the years, a numerous of exhibitions were devote to her art in France and abroad.
