( Deep democracy, the inherent importance of all parts of...)
Deep democracy, the inherent importance of all parts of ourselves and all viewpoints in the world around us, is introduced as the concept that fascilitates conflicts in relationships, communities, and the world. Skills and attitudes needed in situations of chaos, attack, transformation and conflict are provided, and examples from all over the world illustrate the theory.

(Showing how to move from conflict to growth and healing, ...)
Showing how to move from conflict to growth and healing, this book addresses: do we really need to depend upon national and world leaders to bring us out of crises; is a healing of the world and our personal problems being held back by our misperception of the "spirit of the times"; and how much responsibility should a person have, and can take, as an individual for global problems and conflicts. This book brings together the insights of Eastern philosophy, modern physics and Jungian psychology to show why people's personal development into leaders is so vitally important to personal lives and the world. Questions and practical exercises demonstrate newly-discussed concepts at the end of each chapter. Other books by Arnold Mindell include "Dreambody: The Body's Role in Revealing the Self", "Work With a Dreaming Body", "River's Way: The Process Science of the Dreambody", "Dreambody in Relationships", "Coma: Key to Awakening", "City Shadows: Psychological Interventions in Psychiatry", "Working on Yourself Alone: Inner Dreambody Work" and "The Year One: Global Process Work".

( Introducing the concept of meaningful connections betwe...)
Introducing the concept of meaningful connections between nighttime dreams, myths, and body experiences, this work traces attitudes toward the body in Eastern and Western thought and illustrates the connections between body experiences and universal patterns evident in philosophical systems, fairy tales, and myths. This newly revised second edition contains a new foreward, which locates the original dreambody concept within later developments in process work, including work with relationships, addictions, coma, movement, and worldwork, and theoretical links to modern physics.

( Integrating family therapy with dream and body work, th...)
Integrating family therapy with dream and body work, the relationship between classical analysis and information theory is explored. Dreambody work is applied to groups of individuals, hologram theory, the collective unconscious, and the discoveries of modern physics and biology, to show how each individual's awareness affects the whole.

Arnold Mindell describes "The Leader as Martial Artist" in his new 2014 preface: "Here you will find my first introduction to Deep Democracy, as the core of organizational process. Here is where you will find a basic and today, still completely relevant application of field theory, how it connects with Taoism, and “time spirits”. The stress upon awareness in the midst of psychological and political turbulence is timeless .

(Dreambody is the foundational introduction to process ori...)
Dreambody is the foundational introduction to process oriented psychology, by its founder Arnold Mindell, an MIT Physicist and Jungian Analyst. The Dreambody bridges the gaps between depth psychology, somatic psychology, spirituality, and energy based mind-body practices. "Most of the modern body work known to me is basically materialistic in outlook; even many of the Eastern teachings have taken that turn too. A viewpoint that tries to keep a balance between mind and body is very much needed. Every dream image can thus be seen as belonging to that in-between realm, referring equally to the mind and to the physiological body. I therefore hope that Dr. Mindells pioneering work will encourage more research in this still unknown realm of experience." -Marie-Louise von Franz, March, 1982 "There was a gap between depth psychology and focus on the body, as if these two perspectives on the human experience were different worlds. The Dreambody bridged it by describing an underlying process that is both dream and body, and this opened up whole new perspectives..." -Serge Prengel, Editor, Somatic Perspectives on Psychotherapy

(Arnold Mindell introduced Process Work as a new scientifi...)
Arnold Mindell introduced Process Work as a new scientific paradigm where the observer and an observed event are entangled in a dreamlike way that shows how dreams, body experiences, relationship dynamics, and synchronous phenomenon are part of a unified field organized by process. River's Way creates a practical methodology that bridges psychotherapy, medicine, quantum physics, mythology, and indigenous cosmologies; addressing a broad range of human experience. Arnold Mindell, Ph.D., is the author of twenty books including Dreambody (Deep Democracy Exchange, 2011), The Dreammaker's Apprentice (Hampton Roads, 2001), Quantum Mind (Lao Tse Press, 1999), and The Shaman's Body (HarperSanFranscico, 1993). He is known throughout the world for his innovative synthesis of dreams and bodywork, Jungian therapy and group process, consciousness, shamanism, quantum physics, and conflict resolution. Dr. Mindell travels widely in the U.S. and abroad, holding workshops and making frequent appearances at professional conferences and on television and radio shows.

(This book presents the reader with the theoretical framew...)
This book presents the reader with the theoretical framework behind Arnold Mindell's two earlier studies of the psychology of body experience, "Dreambody" and "Working With the Dreaming Body". In bridging divisions between psychotherapy, medicine and physics, it provides both client and therapist with a flexible and integrative approach to the total personality.not simply an intellectual exercise and that successful therapy is the work of the "dreamer" as much as of the analyst. In the second part of the book the author shows how mythological symbols of energy and time (Oceanos, Aion and the Kundalini) form the roots of modern concepts of process. The final chapter takes up and builds on Jung's rediscovery of alchemy as the mother of modern medicine, psychology and physics. Mindell suggests that awareness itself might be the gold of the alchemists and that successful therapies are in part a discovery of the river's way - the process of perception.
