Oscar Miestchaninoff was a Belarusian painter and sculptor. The main direction of his creative work was sculpturing. Busts and torsos made by Miestchaninoff of marble, granite andbronze were exhibited at the Academy of Arts, French Artists Association, at the Salon d’automne and the Salon des Indépendants in 1915 and 1916. The artist’s most famous work A Man in a Top Hat is at the G. Pompidou National Museum of Contemporary Arts.
