Gomes' mother sent her to modelling classes at Linda-Ann Model Academy in Midland at the age of 13
Appearances in Teen Vogue followed and as magazine editors caught sight of Jessica Gomes it was only a matter of time before she was appearing in the big name glossy mags. She has appeared in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour, American Glamour, Italian GQ and Victoria’s Secret catalogue, and has modeled for DKNY Jeans, Garnier, Levi's, Motorola, Urban Outfitters, LG Electronics and Victoria's Secret, and appeared on the cover of Biba. She signed with Estee Lauder as the face of Diddy's Unforgivable fragrance.
In 2007, Gomes appeared in advertisements for Hyundai Sonata. In 2008, Gomes appeared in advertisements for LG Cyon Bikini Phone. For promotional use, she played baseball with the Korean baseball team LG Twins which led to celebrity-status in South Korea. In 2009, her reality TV-show "My name is Jessica Gomes" was launched on the Korean television network On Style owned by On-Media. After Gomes became the face of Emprani Cosmetics, they went on launching a new lip-gloss named Gomes Pink. Her latest ventures are working on a Yoga-video entitled Body Art and a dancing debut in the Korean version of Dancing with the Stars on June 10. She was the Maxim Cover girl for November 2011.It was reported on January 13, 2012 on MTV's Rap Fix Section of the website that Gomes is the voice behind saying the name of Rick Ross' label Maybach Music Group at the beginning of every track.
She also has been named the Ambassador and face for Australian Iconic Surf brand Mambo, which she is taking to the next level internationally to the USA and South Korea. She is designing and collaborating her own range of swimsuits for Mambo Goddess by Jessica Gomes.
