The contemporary artist Michal Naaman is fundamentally modern yet firmly rooted in traditional Judaism. She is a perfect example of an artist of Israeli society provoking the traditions of a culture thousands of years.
Background
Michal Na'aman lives and works in Tel Aviv.
She belongs to a group of young artists who emerged in the early 1970s, and who are today at the forefront of Israeli art.
In 1975 the first solo exhibition at Yodfat Gallery in Tel Aviv took place.
In 1982 Naaman participates in the 40th Venice Biennale.
In 1999 - Retrospective at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art
