Background
BOISRAGON, Guy Hudleston was born on November 5, 1864 in Kohat, Punjab. Son of Major-General Henry F. M. Boisragon, late Commandant of the 4th Sikhs, Punjab Frontier Force, and Anna, daughter of late William Hudleston of the Madras Civil Sendee.

Career
Joined Lincolnshire (10th) Regiment, 1885. Joined 5th Goorkhas, 1887. Captain, 1896; Major, 1903.
Served Hazara Expedition, 1888 (medal with clasp). Hazara Expedition, 1891 (clasp). And with the two Miranzai Expeditions in 1891, in the first expedition as orderly officer to the general officer in command (clasp).
Served in the operations in Hunza-Nagar country 1891-1892, including capture of the Nilt Fort (despatches, Victoria Cross, clasp). Served in Waziristan Expedition under Sir William Lockhart, 1894-1895 (clasp). Aide-de-Camp to Lieutenant-General Punjab command, 1895-1896.
Served in operations on North-West Frontier, 1897-1898, operations in the Sarnana and Kurram valley, 1897 (medal with two clasps). Tirah Expedition, 1897-1898. Reconnaissance of the Kharmana defile and action of 7 November 1897.
