Somaliland Campaign (medal and 2 clasps). Appointed Deputy Commissioner and Consul for British Central Africa, 1897, and has twice acted as Commissioner and Consul-General from December 1897 to December 1898, and from July 1900 to April 1901. Raised, and commanded the Central Africa Regiment.
