1891 graduate Saint St. Petersburg Technol Institute.
From 1881 in revol movement. 1888 founded some 20 propaganda circles from disbanded groups of Doctorate. North. Blagoyev and P. V. Tochisskiy. 1890 member of comt which coorninated all circles in Social-Democratic organisation (later known as Brusnev Group).
1891 organized first May Day celebration in Saint St. Petersburg. Moved to Moscow; founded new circles and liaised with other cities. 1892 Brusnev group disbanded by police and he was sentenced to exile in East Siberia.
On return from exile abandoned active revol work. From 1901 member, Russian Polar Expedition. 1904 returned to Saint St. Petersburg.
Joined Social-Democratic group. Union of Engineer; 1907 one of State Duma electors from leftist bloc (Bolshevik and SocialistRevol). Subsequently withdrew from polil activities.
After 1917 October Revol worked at People's Commissariat of Labor and People's Commissariat of Foreign Trade.
