1886 graduate Mathematical Faculty, Kiev University. 1893 graduate Mikhail Artillery Academy.
1887-1890 ensign in Russian Army. From 1896 worked for Artillery Committee, Main Artillery Board. Sent abroad to study artillery production in England, France, Germany and Austria.
From 1898 instructor, Artillery Academy. 1911-1914 taught course in the planning of artillery systems at Artillery Academy. From 1914 assistant head, Centr Research Laboratory, War Department.
1916-1917 co-director, Putilov Plant. From 1918 in Red Army. 1920-1926 deputy director, Centr State Sciences and Technical Institute, Supreme Economic Council.
From 1926 professor and head, Chair of Special Engineer, Artillery Academy. Simultaneously taught internal ballistics at Naval Academy. During late 1920's and 1930's helped to develop and test new weapon systems
1933 compiled "Tables for Solving Internal Ballistic Problems". 1936-1940 extended his precise method of solving internal ballistic problems to progressive powders. From 1942 iifemember, Artillery Committee, Main Artillery Board.
1946-1953 member and Presidium member, Academy of Artillery Sciences.
