1898-1900 worked at Clinic of Nervous and Mental Diseases, Yur’yev University. 1900-1905 taught psychology at Yur’yev University. 1905-1907 taught at Saint St. Petersburg Psychoneurological Institute.
1907-1918 at Saint St. Petersburg Teachers’ Training Academy. 1912-1918 at Saint St. Petersburg University. 1919-1931 at Saratov University.
1929-1932 at German Teachers’ Training Institute, Pokrovsk. 1932-1933 at Herzen Teachers’ Training Institute, Leningrad. Specialized in the psychology of the blind.
Helped to reorganize schools for the blind after Revol. Demonstrated that it is possible to overcome the blind person’s reduced perception and restricted spatial awareness by systematic training of attention, memory, speech and thought. Wrote over 50 works.
