1897 joined revol movement in Kiev. As student; then Party work in Saint St. Petersburg and worked for Free Economy Social. 1897 arrested and exiled to Samara.
1903 exiled to Velikiy Ustyug, Vologda Province. 1905 returned from exile and helped run Kazan’s Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Committee. 1905 deleg at 3rd Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks) Congress and elected candidate member, Central Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Workers ’Party (Bolsheviks).
October 1905 helped lead armed workers’ demonstration in Kazan’. November 1906 attended All-Russian Conference of Military and Militant Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Organisations 1906-1917 exiled in Vologda Province.
After 1917 February Revol secretary, Vologda Soviet. After 1917 October Revol chairman, Vologda Economic Council. From 1919 Collegium member, Centr Union of Consumer Social, Moscow.
Then chairman, Ukraine Union of Consumer Social, Khar’kov.
Communist Party member from 1903.
