From 1903 lived in Chernigov and took part in student revol activities. From 1917 Party work in Chernigov. After 1917 October Revol chairman, Chernigov Soviet of Workers and Soldiers’ Deputy.
1918 member, underground Chernigov Province Parly Committee. Then member, underground Kiev Oblast Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine and secretary, Kiev Province Revol Committee. From October 1918 secretary, underground Odessa Oblast Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine.
Helped organize Foreign Collegium, Odessa Oblast Committee, Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Ukraine. 1919 Party and government work in Odessa, then in Moscow. 1930-1934 worked for Centr Control Commission of Workers and Peasants’ Inspection.
At 16th Party Congress elected member, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Centr Control Commission. Delegation at 17th All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress.
