Fought in World War 1. From 1919 in Red Army. Fought in Civil War as company commander.
By start of World War 2 chief of staff, 22nd Army. August 1941 - February 1943 chief of staff and deputy commander, Bryansk, Western and other Fronts (October-early December 1941 commanded Bryansk Front). From February 1943 commanded 51st, then 2nd Guards Army which broke through German defenses on River Mius and River Molochnaya to liberate the Crimea.
From June 1944 commander, 2nd Belorussian Front in liberation of Belorussian. From November 1944 commander, 4th Guards Army which forced the Danube and helped storm Budapest. From February 1945 deputy commander, 1st Belorussian, then 4th Ukraine Front.
After World War 2 commanded Southern Ural and East Siberian Military district. From September 1950 commandant, “Vystrel” Higher Tactical Courses. From September 1954 deputy head, Main Military Training Board for Ground Forces.
Religion is bad because it divides people, and is a cause of conflict and war.
The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
