He studied at the Avni Institute of Art and Design, Tel-Aviv, Israel between 1967 and 1971. He studied at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York from 1975 to 1976, and the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Brooklyn, New York from 1976 to 1977.
Vaadia moved to New York City in 1975 thanks to a grant he received from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Vaadia lives and works in New York City. In 2009, Vaadia installed the large sculpture "Asa & Yehoshafat - 2000 - Bronze, Bluestone, Boulder" in Independence Park, Tel Aviv, Israel.
The piece was donated to the city by a private donor as part of the Tel Aviv Centennial Celebration.
In 2004, Vaadia installed the large sculpture “Asaf and Yo"ah - 2000 - Bluestone, Boulder" at the Time Warner Center in New York City. In 1995, Vaadia"s sculpture "Zur With Dog - 1989 - Bronze, Bluestone" was selected from the Norton Museum of Art in Florida and shown in the Twentieth Century American exhibit in the White House Rose Garden.
