Peter Astrov was born in 1879.
He performed in Sochi (M. Borodaya's entreprise), Ivanovo-Voznesensk in 1912 (Literary and Music-Drama Society), Saratov in 1913. He performed in the Voronezh theaters in 1918-1928.Performed in the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater staging the operas of Peter Tchaikovsky "Iolanta" and "Eugene Onegin", where he played the leading roles. Head of the opera class and theater studio at the Institute of Theater Arts (Higher Theater Workshops in 1920-1921), Dean of the Opera Department in 1921. Later he worked in Kiev.
