Alexander Nikolaevich graduated from the acting department of the Lunacharsky State Institute for Theatre Arts (1970) (now Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) and the department of the directing (1984).
Since 1970 Alexander Nikolaevich worked as an artist. Since 1994 he used to be the main director of the Voronezh Theater for Young Spectators. His roles include Igor ("The Girl and April" Tamara Yan), Kudryash ("The Storm" Alexander Ostrovsky), Shpekin, Anuchkin ("The Inspector", "The Marriage" Nikolai Gogol), Journalist ("Stop Malakhov" Valery Agranovsky), Athos ("The Three Musketeers" Mark Rehels based on the novel by Alexander Dumas) and others. During 1987-1988 he a was acting director. The main productions include "The Snow Queen" by Yevgeny Schwarz (1985), "The Package" by Leonid Panteleev (1986), "Rivals" by Richard Sheridan (1990), Oscar Wilde's "The Canterville Ghost" (1991), Alexander Pushkin's "The Captain's Daughter" (1998), "Oliver" Lionel Barth based on the novel by Charles Dickens (2002), "Old Friends" by Leonid Malyugin (2003).
