Peter Crooke Canning

Peter Canning was born on January 25, 1937 in New York City, in the family of Elisha Hubert and Florence (Crooke) Canning.

Education

In 1959 Peter received Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) at Harvard University.

Career

In 1959-1963 Peter served in counterintelligence. Since 1965 Peter worked for the Reader’s Digest, and in 1980 - 1988 he took the position of managing editor there.

Achievements

• Peter is the author of a famous book "American Dreamers: The Wallaces and Reader’s Digest: An Insider’s Story", which was written in 1996.
