Peter Germano

Background

Peter Germano was born as Pietro Baptisto Germano on May 17, 1913, in Massachusetts, United States.

Education

Peter Germano studied at Brown University from 1946-1950. In 1956, he entered Chapman University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1959. Then he studied at Loyola Marymount University from 1968 to 1970 and received a Master of Arts degree.

Career

Peter Germano did several jobs, including as a clerk for the local railroad, when he was young. He also wrote short stories that were published in magazines. In 1943, Germano left to serve in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He worked as a war correspondent for the United States Marine Corps and wrote numerous articles that appeared in various newspapers. Later he served in the Korean War.

In 1971 Germano started to work as a part-time lecturer at Loyola Marymount University. There he taught Advanced Writing for Film and Television to graduate students until 1973. He also worked as an associate editor of The Californian newspaper. During this period of time, Peter Germano wrote novels, science fiction and television scripts for several western and science fiction programs. He was the author of the animated cartoons televisions series.
