For more than a century, Cullen and Dykman has contributed significantly to the commercial, civic and social development of the New York metropolitan area. In its early years, the Firm provided legal counsel from its offices in Brooklyn Heights to the forerunners of today's utility, water and transit systems and to important banking, shipping, retail, and manufacturing interests.

A founding partner, the Honorable Alexander McCue, was chairman of the group that hired John Roebling to design the Brooklyn Bridge. One hundred years later, Cullen and Dykman served as counsel for the Bridge's centennial celebration.
