Peter Pavlovich Rebro was born on May 19, 1932 in Belotserkovtsy, Zaporozhye region, Ukraine.
In 1953 Peter Pavlovich Rebro graduated from the Zaporozhye State Pedagogical Institute (now Zaporizhzhya National University).
Peter Pavlovich Rebro worked as a teacher, engaged in journalism and book publishing. In 1967-1998 he headed the regional writers' organization in Zaporozhye. Since 1999, Peter Pavlovich was the editor-in-chief of the scientific-editorial department "Rehabilitated by History" under the regional administration. In the 1970s, he repeatedly visited Voronezh, participated in various cultural events related to the officially proclaimed competition between workers of the Voronezh and Zaporozhye regions.
The organizer of the literary holidays "Poetic May" (Zaporozhye), in which Voronezh writers regularly participated (until 1982). Peter Pavlovich translated into Ukrainian the works of many Voronezh poets, including A.V. Koltsova, I.S. Nikitin, V.G. Gordeycheva, A.A. Ionkina, E.G. Novichikhina. Author of several poems dedicated to Voronezh and Voronezh citizens.
