Shchetinkin, Petr was born in 1885.


Took part in World War I as a captain. George Medals). Joined the Bolshevik Party, 1918. Chief-of-staff of the Red Partisan Army in Siberia, 1919.

Involved in the hunting down of the legendary White commander of Mongolian detachments, Baron Ungern-Sternberg, 1921. Chief-of-staff of Siberian military district border guards (GPU), 1922-1926. Built up the state security network in communist Mongolia, 1926.

Probably killed on the Soviet-Mongolian border.
