Career
As of January 2014 he is Professor of 19th and 20th Century History at the European University Institute in Florence. He researches and teaches courses in modern European History, looking at nationalist conflict, revolutionary and counter revolutionary social movements, and the history of sexuality. In Spring 2011, Pieter Judson was the recipient of Nina Maria Gorrissen Berlin Prize in History at the American Academy in Berlin.
