Achievements include research in purification and action mode of low-molecular-weight B-1, 4-glucan glucanohydrolase from Trichoderma koningii, differential expression of the chitin synthase genes of Aspergillus nidulans, chsA, chsB, and chsC, in response to developmental status and environmental factors. Research in suppression of the onset and progression of collagen-induced arthritis by chebulagic acid screened from a natural product library, mutational and functional analysis of the cryptic N-terminal targeting signal for both mitochondria and peroxisomes in yeast peroxisomal citrate synthase Cit2p. Research in nucleotide seqence and fine structural analysis of the Corynebacterium glutamicum hom-thrB operon.
