He graduated from Allahabad University in 1935 with a degree of Doctor of Science. He has done a research in Solar Physics and Geophysics. Professor of Physics.
Career
Prabhat Kumar Sengupta was a Research Assistant to Late Professor M.N. Saha in 1934. In 1928 he was commissioned in Indian Air Force during War and retired as Squadron Leader. In 1943-1946 - on Deputation. In 1957-1960 - Group Capitan, Director of Meteorology on Deputation. After that he worked as a Director of Radio Meteorology in the Observatory in New Delhi. Prabhat Kumar Sengupta was specially interested in Geophysics. Toured Far-East, U.K. and Australia. He was awarded various prizes and medals for the researches.
