Career
From 1900 professor, 1918-1925 rector, Saint St. Petersburg Electr Engineer Institute, where he founded the Electrophysical Faculty. After 1917 October Revol member, from 1922 chairman, Centr Electr Engineer Council, Supreme Economic Council. From 1919 member, Sciences and Technical Committee, People's Commissariat of Means of Communication.
From 1921 deputy chairman, State Planning Committee. Professor, Chair of Low-Current Electr Engineer, Moscow Higher Technical College. Deputy chairman, All-Union Power Engineer Committee.
Presidium member. State Learned Council, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic People's Commissariat of Education. 1931 sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment at Indiana Party trial. 1935 released prematurely.
1937 sentence quashed.
