In 1931 he entered Moscow Reclamation and Road Technical School. In 1940 Glebov graduated from the Stanislavsky Opera and Drama Studio.
In 1935 he was sent to Boguchar town of Voronezh Region, where he worked as a water supply technician for a year. Pyotr Glebov acted on the stage since 1941. Glebov worked in the Stanislavsky Theatre and then in the National Film Actors' Studio Theatre. He acted in films since 1950. Glebov became famous after portraying Grigori Melekhov in the 1957-1958 epic "And Quiet Flows the Don". Actor has for about 20 screen performances under his belt.
