Career
Raheja Prakash Chand was a Senior Research Assistant at Sugarcane Research Station, Bihar (1933-1947). He was an agronomist of lndian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi (1947-1960) and director of Central Arid Zone Research Institute in Jodhpur (since 1960). He toured the USA, Australia and North Africa. He had publications: 175 articles and research papers, also 3 books.

Raheja Prakash Chand was a member of Indian Society of Agronomy (General Secretary), Indian Society of Soil Science, Indian Society of Plant Physiology, Arid Zone Research Association of India (President), World Academy of Art and Science, State Soil Conservation Board (Rajasthan), National Cooperating Committee for Arid Zone Research (Secretary) and various committees of l.C.A.R. and Board of Agriculture.
