During 1976-1978 Raimund worked as a manuscript specialist in Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland. Since 1978 he is the university archivist and associate professor at Ohio State University in Columbus. He is also a contributor of articles and reviews to periodicals and professional journals, including Ohio Archivist, American Archivist, Psychohistory Review, and Archival Issues.
