Career
He represented the Bhavnagar constituency of Gujarat for five terms of the Parliament. During those crucial years, Narendra Modi was installed as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and the 2002 Gujarat riots occurred. He was allegedly denied a ticket to Lok Sabha in 2014 by Narendra Modi due to his alleged closeness to Sanjay Joshi.
