He is the Minister of Milk and Dairy development of Uttar Pradesh, in office since 15 March 2012. Ram Murti Verma was born in the village Dohripur, Ambedkar Nagar district, in the state of Uttar Pradesh in 1965. Verma belongs to the OBC category (kurmi).
He enrolled for bachelor"s degree but did not complete his education.
Prior to joining politics, Verma was an agriculturist. Ram Murti Verma has been a Modern Language Association for one term (incumbent).
