Rao Rama had Master of Arts (Hons.) at Madras University (1916) and Diploma of Imperial College in London (1933).
Career
Rao Rama worked as Director at Myso Geological Department (1935-1948), director at Indian Bureau of Minesre (1948-1951). He was practising as a consulting geologist (since 1952).
Rao Rama was a Foundation fellow of the National Institute of Sciences of India, Indian Academy of Sciences; Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Society of India (Past-President and Hon. Fellow), Geological Society (London), Geological Society of India.
Rao Rama toured Europe, USA and Canada. He had some publications: about 100 articles and research papers and also three books.
