Achievements include development of spectroscopic method for detection of bacteria, spores, laser spectroscopic method for disease diagnosis, quantitative model for Raman spectral analysis of human tissue; optical spectral diagnosis and imaging of disease. Research fellowship Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, 1988; recipient Research award Humboldt Foundation, 1990.
