Torrelledo Ramon Luis is a Spanish conductor and composer. Author of film music, compositions for children. As a conductor, he worked in the orchestras of Poland, Romania, Egypt, and Russia. Under the direction of Torrelledo Ramon Luis, the orchestra performs annually in Spain (concert programs are recorded on several CDs), takes part in the international project Humanism Against Terror.
Background
Torrelledo Ramon Luis was born on August 31, 1956, in Castro Urdiales, Cantabria, Spain. He spent his childhood in the Palencia town of Barruelo de Santullán (Palencia), where he began his musical studies with his father, the composer and director Nicolás Torre.
Education
Ramon Torrelledo graduated from the Madrid Academy of Music in piano and composition. Trained as a conductor at the University of Pittsburgh and Columbia (USA).
Career
Ramon Luis is an organizer, leader, and lecturer of the conservatory (since 1991, the city of Bilbao, Spain). As a conductor, he worked in the orchestras of Poland, Romania, Egypt, and Russia. Since 1994, the conductor and guest performer of the Voronezh Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Ramon Luis, the orchestra performs annually in Spain (concert programs are recorded on several CDs), takes part in the international project Humanism Against Terror (performances at concerts and rallies in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the former concentration camp of the Polish city of Auschwitz, 2005; in the city of Beslan, North Ossetia, 2006 and others).

Ramon Luis is a member of the OSACER. OSACER is a legendary band founded in 1920 that places it as one of the oldest orchestras in Russia.
